UCLA Center for Economic History Graduate Student Fellowship

The UCLA Center for Economic History (UCLA-CEH) announces its graduate fellowship in economic history. Applicants to the doctoral programs in either Economics or History are eligible for consideration. The Center’s award provides full tuition and stipend for the first year of the program and for one additional year near the end of the student’s studies. In the intervening years the fellow’s department will provide support (in accordance with the department’s program of graduate support) in the form of a graduate teaching or research assistantship. As a condition of the award CEH fellows will pursue a dissertation project in the area of economic history; take graduate courses in economic history; and participate in the economic history pro-seminar, the Von Gremp workshop in economic history, and conferences sponsored by the Center.

Individuals wishing to be considered for the fellowship should indicate their interest in their graduate admissions essay, and also contact the Center’s steering committee: Dora Costa (costa@econ.ucla.edu), Naomi Lamoreaux (lamoreaux@econ.ucla.edu), William Summerhill (summerhill@ucla.edu) and Bin Wong (wong@history.ucla.edu).
